InVEST Regional Training on Domestic Violence Prosecution and Offender Accountability

The InVEST Regional Training on Domestic Violence Prosecution and Offender Accountability will include Crystal Allen, a former Assistant State Attorney, Jennifer Fountaine, a survivor of domestic abuse and Bob Smedley, InVEST Statewide Coordinator. This training is open to domestic violence advocates, prosecutors, law enforcement officers, probation officers, judges. This course will take participants through the prosecution process and provide communities with an understanding of how tools can refine their skills for successful prosecution of offenders. Offender accountability will be continued with case studies of probation supervision and a community coordinated effort to help keep survivors safe.  A survivor will share her story of how this community coordinated effort supported her through the civil and criminal courts that held her abuser accountable.
