Core Competency Train the Trainer February 19 – 20 2020

This training provides Competency-based Core Curriculum Training for qualified domestic violence center advocates to become authorized trainers of the Competency-based Core Curriculum. In order to attend the training, a domestic violence center advocate must have completed 30 hours of core training for victim-advocate privilege communications under Florida Statute Section 90.5036, have two or more years of experience working in a Florida certified domestic violence center and be employed with one of Florida’s 42 certified domestic violence centers. In order to become authorized trainers of the Competency-based Core Curriculum an additional training of Core Competency Institute for Trainers must have been attended as well prior to attending this training. Topics to be addressed include: Facilitation skills, trainer information, review of trainer agreement documentation, process for submission of documentation for victim/advocate privilege, review of highlighted sections of Core Competency curriculum, among others. All attendees will be required to prepare for and facilitate a 15 minute presentation as well during this training.
