FCADV and Caring Dads are hosting a free, two-hour webinar introduction to the Caring Dads Program, an evidence-based intervention program for men who have abused, neglected, or exposed their children to domestic violence. The program is rated a "promising practice" for addressing child maltreatment by the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare, where its Child Welfare System Relevance Level is indicated as "High." The Caring Dads program was specifically designed from the premise that violence against women and violence against children are intricately intertwined and that these two issues both can and should be addressed together. Caring Dads has achieved independently verified results through intervention programs in Canada, the UK, the USA, Australia, and Europe. In October of 2018, FCADV will be bringing Caring Dads trainers to St. Johns and Putnam Counties to train potential facilitators of the program. If you or someone you know might be interested in facilitating a Caring Dads class in your area one day, this webinar is a great way to get introduced to the program and ask any questions you might have about it in order to achieve successful implementation. If you are part of the Justice for Families Batterer Accountability Advisory Board and/or are a community partner interested in bringing this program to your area, REGISTER TODAY!
Once you register, you will be contacted separately to receive the webinar log in information closer to the date of the webinar.
Please contact FCADV's Child Welfare Initiatives Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
