Hotline Regional Training March 13 2019

The Hotline Regional Training is designed to enhance both seasoned and new advocates' skills in identifying and assessing the needs of survivors on the hotline. This training will use the hotline skills wheel to review rapport, active listening, safety planning, risk assessment and the immediate needs of survivors. Advocates will be able to identify the services available at the certified domestic violence centers and develop the tools needed to respond to requests for information on community resources. The collaborative learning environment utilizes interactive group activities and classroom style training. To attend this training you must be an active staff or volunteer of a certified domestic violence center. Both new and seasoned advocates are encouraged to attend. Advocates should come prepared to engage with one another about their experiences on the hotline.

Training will occur from 9:00am-4:00pm
Lunch will be on your own.
Travel scholarships may be provided to certified domestic violence centers required to travel 50 miles or more for this event.
A limited number of travel scholarships will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.
Please request a scholarship while registering online.

The Hotline Regional Training will be held at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Gainesville.
You must reserve your own hotel room.
