As domestic violence advocates, cultural competency and respect essential components when working with survivors of domestic violence and their children. Often faith or the religious/spiritual life of the survivor serves as an additional support system and important part of the survivor’s culture. This webinar will address the central role that faith may play in the lives of survivors and how it may influence their decisions, survival, and healing. We will also explore ways to incorporate and understand a survivor’s spiritual life and beliefs into your work together, while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
