Training and Technical Assistance Specialist

The Training and Technical Assistance Specialist is responsible for the oversight and delivery of FCADV’s Core Competency training programs, Advanced Advocacy trainings, and the Biennial Statewide Conference. The Specialist also conducts onsite trainings and technical assistance related to domestic violence intervention and advocacy services at certified domestic violence centers and provides specialized support to the certified domestic violence centers as needed.
The Specialist possesses at minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree and three years of experience providing direct services to survivors of domestic violence, or high school/equivalency diploma and four years providing direct services to survivors of domestic violence. Candidate must approach the work from a trauma-informed and empowerment-based perspective. The candidate will have knowledge and experience educating individuals on the root causes of violence against women and oppressed groups, experience conducting trainings related to successful advocacy on behalf of survivors of violence, experience managing grant reports, and excellent writing and organizational skills. This job requires extensive in-state and limited national travel.
