The Use of Risk Assessments

This free four- hour training on the Use of Risk Assessments will be conducted by Jill Messing, MSW, PhD, Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at Arizona State University. This training will examine risk assessments for intimate partner homicide using an evidence-based practice framework.  The role of risk assessment in risk-informed collaborative social service and criminal justice interventions will be discussed.

The intended audience is law enforcement, first responders, criminal court personnel, victim advocates and other service providers who interface with survivors of intimate partner violence, their children and perpetrators. Four CEU’s will be offered to Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, and Licensed Mental Health Counselors. 

The cost of CEU’s is $25.00.
