Economic Empowerment Regional Training: Credit and Identity Theft Jacksonville

This two-day regional training will provide fundamental instruction to better understand credit and what it takes to build or repair credit.

Diana Thompson and Student Finance League affiliates will offer in-depth overview on different credit topics to expand knowledge for advocates as they work with survivors on re-building their credit.

Ta’Nika Ellington from Peace River Center will share her experience as a licensed credit counselor and discuss specific DV-related challenges of working with survivors on building or repairing their credit as a result of financial abuse.

The State Attorney’s Office will also offer a training on identity theft specific to domestic violence survivors within the state of Florida.

The intended audience includes direct service advocates, social service professionals, students, and other individuals who provide credit assistance to survivors of domestic violence.
