Cultural & Linguistic Learning Exchange: Improving Access to Justice for Immigrant Survivors-Jacksonville
One day regional learning exchange designed to enhance linguistic and cultural proficiency and to allow participants to recognize and evaluate immigration implications in the context of domestic violence. Participants will be able to identify and examine existing system barriers to improve access to justice for immigrant survivors, and information will be provided on immigration, culture, unique barriers, batterer tactics and rights and remedies. This training is designed for direct service advocates, law enforcement, legal professionals, health care providers, allied agencies, child protection, social service professionals, students and other individuals who work or volunteer with domestic violence survivors, their children or batterers.
