This course will cover the growing crime of stalking in domestic violence incidents. Topics such as :stalking personalities and behavior, the impact on victims, level of danger, establishing probable cause, investigative tactics, counter-measures and prevention and safety planning will be discussed.

The Palm Beach County Anti Stalking Collaborative is a group of community partners dedicated to the service of providing aid and resources for survivors of stalking and cyberstalking. FCADV and The Collaborative unites victim advocates, law enforcement, attorneys, and investigators in developing practices for assisting survivors in stalking cases. The Collaborative is providing a one day regional training for Law Enforcement and Service providers, to further enhance their knowledge and abilities to assist and provide advocacy to survivors of stalking.  The Law Enforcement track will include topics on establishing probable cause, investigative tactics, counter stalking, and stalking behaviors and personalities. The service provider training will include topics of increasing arrests and enforcing protective orders, identifying stalking, danger assessment and safety planning around stalking, documentation, tools to use with victims individually or in support groups.
