Prosecutions of perpetrators of domestic violence, when the victim is an immigrant, present unique challenges. This one day seminar for prosecutors and investigators is designed to enhance the development of linguistically and culturally sensitive victim response and provide prosecutors and investigators with information on the unique barriers experienced by domestic violence victims, rights and remedies, batterer tactics, and will explore the complex issues faced in balancing offender accountability and the impact of criminal prosectuion for victims.
